Raw Almond Milk

Homemade Raw Almond milk is not only tasty but stupidly easy to make, you’ll wonder why you ever bought it from the store. Weather you’re into raw foods or not, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this wonderfully nutritionous nut milk.

Ingredients:

1 cup soaked almonds
3 cups cold water

Directions:

The night before take 1/2 cup of dry almonds. Rinse several times, and soak them in 1 – 1/2 cups of water. Enough to cover them completely. Soak anywhere from 8-12 hours minimum, until they double in size. Rinse them again very well, this helps to remove enzyme inhibitors in the nut.

Take your soaked almonds and 3 cups of water in a blender, blend until VERY smooth. Its very important you blend it very well or you’ll think you’re drinking chalk paste.
Strain through either a nut milk bag or a washcloth. You can dehydrate the almond pulp into flour or freeze it for an almond mash.
